Join renowned performance artist and teacher Jose Hugo Sanchez for a performance art intensive. The program will start with an introductory lesson on the history of global performance art, and then students will practice both technique and content. The class will finish with short individual and group performances. This class is perfect for students of all ages, and will help bring anyone out of their shell!

*Note to participants: please bring at least one "prop" for use during the workshop. Clothing, costume accessories, and objects of all types are welcome.

About the artist:

Jose Hugo Sanchez is a visual and performance artist creating work about the border region of Tijuana/San Diego. He has hosted workshops and performances across Mexico and the US. His most recent solo exhibition featuring large-scale printmaking and sculpture “Transpoiesis” was on view at San Diego Mesa College in November 2015.
