San Diego Art Institute presents a Howl-o-ween Dog Costume Contest on Sunday, October 30, 2pm-5pm benefitting Four Paws in El Cajon
The San Diego Art Institute (SDAI) is pleased to present a Halloween Dog Costume Contest on Sunday, October 30, 2pm-5pm. During the month of October, SDAI is presenting all Halloween-themed programming in conjunction with the concurrent exhibitions “The Dead are Not Quiet: an exhibition of Macabre Art” and “The Haunted Art of T. Jefferson Carey”. The costume contest will take place at San Diego Art Institute, 1439 El Prado on Sunday, October 30 from 2pm-5pm. Cost for admission is $10.
Halloween is not just for humans. This year, SDAI is celebrating HOWL-O-WEEN with its inaugural dog costume contest, judged by Tess Faulk, owner of Peticures, Seth Combs, dog lover and writer San Diego CityBeat, and Ginger Shulick Porcella, Executive Director of San Diego Art Institute and self-proclaimed creepy dog person. Prizes will be awarded for Scariest Dog, Cutest Dog, Most Creative, and an Honorable Mention.
Prizes included gift packages from Peticures, Colleen’s Custom Pet Photography, Animal Communicator Terri Steuben, and Four Paws Rescue. Proceeds will benefit Four Paws Rescue in El Cajon.
