On Wednesday, March 22nd from 6pm-8pm, the second screening from the 2017 “Artist Picked Flicks” film series will take place at San Diego Art Institute, 1439 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. Admission is $5.
The series continues with independent filmmaker Todd Solondz’s classic coming of age film, Welcome to the Dollhouse. Introduced by SDAI Education Director Lissa Corona, Welcome to the Dollhouse is described by Corona as “one of the most wonderfully painful film representations of adolescence.” Prior to the screening, Corona will discuss how Welcome to the Dollhouse has influenced her personal artwork and penchant for dark humor.
Each screening will commence with a brief discussion, and adult beverages will be available for purchase.
