The third in our series of art and activism related workshops, San Diego Art Institute and Bridge (building-bridges.org) will host an information session detailing local activism and calls for justice within the LGBTQIA+ community; led by special guests from the San Diego Coalition Against Gay Conversion. We will discuss the many ways art can be utilized to spread awareness, develop organizing strategies, and execute resonant and dynamic demonstrations and actions. Examples of banner and sign-making techniques will be shared along with supplies for you to create your own.
