  • Westfield Horton Plaza 324 Horton Plaza San Diego, CA, 92101 United States (map)

$5.00 Admission

The San Diego Art Institute (SDAI) will be hosting Abrash Presents: Sam Ashley, Josh Krausbauer, and Scott Nielsen during a night of trance-induced and -inducing music on Saturday, February 6th at 7pm.

Abrash Presents: is a series of concerts focusing on experimental sound, visual, and performance artists. Abrash Presents: aims to bring traveling musicians and local artists from the San Diego area to interact; juxtaposing performances and forming new collaborative situations.

Sam Ashley has created and performed original music, performance art, and other compositions that express his contemporary “shamanism;” an experimental trance-mysticism that informs his work. Josh Krausbauer is a Los Angeles-based musician who is primarily invested in Trance-Psychedelia. His recent work involves ritual endurance happenings with voice and violin accompanied by synth and strobes. Scott Nielsen is a multimedia artist, sound designer, musician, composer, performer, instrument builder, and audio engineer from San Diego, California. Scott is obsessed with sound that engages on heightened levels—not just with the ears, but also with the mind and spirit of his audience in sonic, non-verbal communication.
